Convergent Dental Laser System Increases Efficiency

A graduate of the University of Missouri with a master’s degree in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Nick A. Prater has more than 15 years of experience in the use of lasers to perform dental procedures on babies, children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Nick A. Prater uses technology created by Convergent Dental, Inc.

A privately owned dental technology and equipment company, Convergent Dental developed Solea®, an FDA-approved laser system used to treat hard and soft tissues. Aided by innovative computer software, the all-tissue laser cuts more precisely and quietly than similar laser systems, allowing dentists to perform cavity preparation without anesthesia.

Solea helps dental surgeons work faster and more efficiently, performing soft tissue surgeries without needing to alternate between patients. On average, dentists who use Solea are able to perform four to six more surgeries per day. Solea also takes the anxiety out of the dental surgery experience for patients, who enjoy the noise-free, needle-free procedure that requires no sutures or lengthy recovery times.
